Eagle Effort

Tuesday, July 24, 2018
Life Scout Cody Morris led a group of 20 volunteers in completing painting 57 fire hydrants recently in the town of Cloverdale. Morris chose the project for his required Eagle Scout project. The hydrants were painted by local Boy Scouts/Leaders and 4-H Junior Leaders from Owen County. Paint was donated by the Cloverdale Utilities department through Cheryl Galloway. The painting of the fire hydrants in red will help them be easily recognized during emergency needs. He has finalized his efforts with the town of Cloverdale and will submit final paperwork to request the Eagle rank in early fall 2018. Morris is a member of Cloverdale Pack 93 Boy Scouts of America.
