GMS students win freshman cheer title

Cheerleaders from Greencastle Middle School competed in the Freshman Division of the Putnam County cheerleading contest on Saturday night and placed first, defeating freshman teams from Tri-West and North Putnam.

Eleven Greencastle Middle School students competed in the Freshman Division of the Putnam County cheerleading contest on Saturday and placed first.

Members of the team were Skyler Byrd, Sydney Campbell, Kelsey Carrington, Grace Clodfelter, Laylah Downing, Bryleigh Evans, Madi Moore, Marleah Muncie, Mary Pingleton, Kaylee Rowings and Haley Timcheck.
