Steven Ray Bunten

Steven Ray Bunten, 63, of Fillmore, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2018 in the Hendricks Regional Hospital in Danville.

Born Oct. 27, 1954 in Greencastle, he was the son of Fred Bunten and Jane "Lucille" Grimes Bunten.

He was a 1973 graduate of South Putnam High School.

He was a former member of the Fillmore Lions Club, Indiana Volunteer Fireman Association and a board member of EMA and LEPC in Putnam County.

Steve was an arson investigator, meat cutter at Kroger and owned Bunten Construction.

He was a sportsman, hunter, fisherman and was a competition shooter.

He was a husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Kelly Lynn (Donahue) Bunten; his children, Darrel Bunten and wife Jamie, Michelle Bunten and Kara Shircliff and husband Gary; brothers Ronnie Bunten and wife Anita, and Carey Bunten and wife Donna; 10 grandchildren, Dakota Bunten, Colton Bunten, Dallas Bond, Jarrod Goebel, Kylynn Goebel, Kelsea Shircliff, Gary Shircliff III, Emmitt Shircliff, MaryJane Shircliff and Quentin Shircliff; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jeremy Bunten, sister Sandra Kay Cosner and brother Jeffrey Dean Bunten.

Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Bousley Funeral Home, Coatesville.

Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Donnie Watson officiating.

Burial will follow in Fillmore Cemetery.
