Boil order lifted for Reelsville Water Authority

Wednesday, August 1, 2018

The Reelsville Water Authority announced at noon Wednesday that a boil order for customers along Manhattan Road and neighboring roads has been lifted.

Due to a water main break in the area, a boil order had been in effect since last Thursday from the 5000 block of County Road 375 West (Manhattan Road) and north to all customers along Manhattan Road and any side roads serviced by Reelsville Water.

The boil order was lifted after a second clean sample was confirmed Wednesday morning by the State Board of Health.

The boil order had remained in effect for several days due to the timing of the break.

Restoring regular water service involves getting clean samples for two straight days, which were Monday and Tuesday since the lab is not open on the weekend.

Anyone with questions may call the Reelsville Water Authority office at 672-8419.
