This summer, 25 different charitable organizations, scholarships and endowments are participating in the Putnam County Community Foundation Share the Dream program. The fundraising program offers proportionally awarded grant prizes to participants who receive at least 10 donations of $25 or more between May 1 and Aug. 31. This is the final of 25 endowments to be highlighted in this series.

The Putnamville Correctional Facility is participating in the Share the Dream contest hoping to increase its scholarship endowment.

Established in 1996, the Putnamville Correctional Facility Memorial Scholarship seeks to provide financial support in the form of a scholarship to be used for tuition and/or books or supplies to persons desiring to further their education.

To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be pursuing a career in law enforcement, corrections or related areas. This scholarship has impacted more than 15 different individuals since 1999.

This scholarship is for employees or legal dependents of employees of Putnamville Correctional Facility in Putnam County.

Anyone interested in helping increase this endowment should consider donating to the Putnamville Correctional Facility Memorial Scholarship.
