Getting the Green Light

Monday, August 6, 2018
As the 3 p.m. rush backs cars up on State Road 240 as many as 30 deep, a worker from The Hoosier Co. puts finishing touches on the new stoplight at the intersection with Percy Julian Drive and Zinc Mill Road Monday. All of the new stoplight units were installed by day’s end, though they remained cloaked with the old four-way stop still in place. With school beginning at nearby Greencastle Middle School and Greencastle High School on Wednesday, locals remain hopeful the new signals will be operational in time.
