Red Light ... Green Light

Thursday, August 9, 2018
Fully operational after a summer of waiting, the new stoplight at Veterans Highway and Percy Julian Drive/Zinc Mill Road keeps traffic flowing late Thursday morning. The stoplight was working by Wednesday evening, complete with signals for seven lanes of traffic, including left turn signals for eastbound, westbound and southbound traffic, as well as talking crosswalk signals.

  • This is great...should have been done in the beginning.

  • Agreed. The stop sign was a band-aid, made worse when no one knows when to go or follows the laws.

  • This road was originally designed to be a bypass around Greencastle and now it’s just another city street with a stop light.

  • Smartmom: I'm curious where you got your information about the bypass. Care to share?
