New fall hours for library Community Help Desk

Thursday, August 9, 2018

The Putnam County Public Library Community Help Desk will be reduced to four days a week, starting Aug 17.

The new hours will be every Monday and Wednesday from 4-7:30 p.m., and every Tuesday and Thursday, from 1-4 p.m.

Friday help desk hours are being retired because of staffing changes.

The Community Help Desk has a computer technician available to diagnose and help repair computers and electronics. It is first-come, first-served (no appointment necessary) and is free and open to the public. Patrons must accompany their computers or electronics at all times (no drop-offs).

Most computer problems can be repaired in 20 minutes. If your computer problem is severe enough, or would take longer than 30 minutes to fix, we may recommend you take it to a professional.

Rarely the help desk will get canceled due to staff sick days or library holiday closings, so patrons may want to check the online events calendar at PCPL21.org or call the library at 653-2755, before heading out.
