Bray: Indiana Senate Republicans offering paid internships for 2019

Tuesday, August 21, 2018

The Indiana Senate Republican Caucus is offering paid spring-semester internships in its legislative, legal, policy, communications and information technology offices during the 2019 session of the Indiana General Assembly, State Sen. Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) has announced.

Qualified candidates must be at least a college sophomore. Recent college graduates as well as graduate school and law school students are also encouraged to apply.

Positions are open to Indiana residents as well as non-residents who attend a college or university located within the state.

Benefits include a $750 biweekly stipend, scholarship and opportunities for academic credit, professional development, community involvement and networking.

Senate internships are full-time positions at the Statehouse in downtown Indianapolis that begin with a mandatory orientation in late December and conclude at the end of the legislative session in April 2019.

“Working for the Indiana Senate as an intern is an excellent opportunity for college students and graduates to form professional skills they can use no matter where their careers take them,” Bray said. “Through our program, interns work with members on a variety of projects and tasks that offer tremendous learning opportunities, and I encourage anyone interested in public service, law, government or public policy to apply.”

The deadline to apply is Oct. 31.
