County Jail

Two people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Tuesday

• At 2:55 a.m. Beth Ann Thompson, 33, Plainfield, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

Monday

• At 9:22 a.m. Nathan Anthony Hoffman, 30, Spencer, was booked in on a local warrant.

City Police

One recent citation was issued by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 9:03 p.m. Friday, Harold Parker III, 37, Greencastle, was cited by Officer Brad Hiatt.

Stopped on East Walnut Street, Parker was cited for driving with a suspended license while having a prior offense.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to four recent dispatches:

•At 1 p.m. on Monday, GFD was dispatched to 1117 Canterbury Dr. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 1:06 and found that an air conditioning blower unit had overheated. While there was no physical damage to the unit, the homeowner was advised to replace it.

They left at 1:32 p.m.

•At 12:10 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to 409 S. Jackson St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 12:12 and determined the alarm was activated due to cooking. The alarm was then reset.

They left at 12:16 p.m.

•At 12:16 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to 225 Bloomington St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 12:18 and determined that the alarm was activated to smoke from a candle. The alarm was then reset.

They left at 12:24 p.m.

•At 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to 109 W. Hanna St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 1:44 and determined that the alarm was activated due to cooking. The alarm was then reset.

They left at 1:48 p.m.

Additionally, GFD performed two medical assists and had one disregard during this time.
