Taste of Putnam County postponed to October as outdoor First Friday activities canceled

Friday, September 7, 2018

With rain rolling into the area Friday morning and the high likelihood of more precipitation Friday evening, outdoor First Friday activites have been canceled.

“Due to inclement weather, Taste of Putnam County, outside bands and vendors have been postponed until October,” First Friday organizer Tami Van Rensselaer announced just after noon on Friday.

Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Brian Cox also reached out the Banner Graphic to announce the postponement of Tast of Putnam County until the October First Friday event, which is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 5.

Downtown restaurants will still be open for dining.

“There will still be lots of fun at our downtown restaurants,” Van Rensselaer said. “They will have activities as the weather allows.”
