The mission of the Elks National Foundation is to help Elks build stronger communities. They fulfill this pledge by investing in communities where Elks live and work. Greencastle Elks Lodge 1077 used part of an ENF Gratitude Grant to donate $1,250 to local Boy Scout Troop No. 99 to assist with their need for camping equipment.

The lodge also used the remaining $1,250 of the grant to donate to the Putnam County Library Program Imagination Library.
In more news, the Lodge held an ice cream social for the winners of our local scholarship program. Congratulations to the recipients of the local Elks 1077 scholarships: Duke Duff, grandson of Charlie Alex; Nicholas Ganly, grandson of Max Whitaker; Megan Garner, daughter of Gabe Garner; Nathan Gobert, son of Shawn Gobert; Preston Headley, son of Matt Headley; Ariel Higgins, daughter of Bobbie and Rob Thompson; Danielle Thomas, daughter of Howard Thomas; and Abraham Wade, son of Keith Wade. Each student received an $800 scholarship from the lodge with the exception of Ariel Higgins who was awarded the Bob Berry Memorial Scholarship of $1,000.
