Anyone wanting a fun Saturday playing a kids’ game is invited to take part in a worthy cause on Saturday.

The Smashing Out Breast Cancer Wiffle Ball Tournament is set for Saturday, Oct. 6 on the youth diamonds at Big Walnut Sports Park.

All proceeds from the tournament will go to Dee Bumgardner and Lisa Stultz Davis, both of whom are battling the devastating disease.

Registration will be from 8-8:30 a.m. followed by the first game at 9 a.m.

The double-elimination tournament will feature a maximum of 10 players per roster with no more than seven on the field at a time. Co-ed teams are allowed.

Games will be limited to five innings or one hour.

Cost is $20 per player or $150 per team.

Anyone not wishing to play who would still like to help may do so by donating baskets or items for raffle ticket drawings, as well as giving food for concessions.

Volunteers are also welcome.
