County Jail

Three people were booked in the Putnam County Jail on Thursday.

• At 9:31 p.m. William Daniel Burkett, 35, Martinsville, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 9:17 p.m. Tun Lwin Poe, 53, Indianapolis, was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.

• At 4:40 p.m. Teddy Allen Kennedy, 28, Spencer, was booked in for possession of a synthetic drug and driving while intoxicated.

City Police

Three recent traffic citations were issued by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 10:16 p.m. Thursday, John Waggoner II, 19, Terre Haute, was ticketed for speeding by Officer Zach Rhine.

Cited for 70 mph in a 40-mph zone, Waggoner was stopped on Veterans Memorial Highway near Percy Julian Drive.

• At 2:39 a.m. Wednesday, Daniel Harrell, 28, Clay City, was cited for speeding by Officer Luke Brown.

Stopped on Veterans Highway near Tennessee Street, Harrell was ticketed for 68 mph in a 40-mph zone.

• At 9:44 p.m. Monday, Cloyd Fowler, 65, Greencastle, was ticketed for having no operator’s license.

Fowler was stopped by Officer Brown on Veterans Highway near Putnamville Street.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to one recent dispatch:

•At 6:05 p.m. on Thursday, GFD was dispatched to 106 S. Spring St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 6:06 and determined the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm was then reset. GFD left the scene at 6:11 p.m.

Additionally, GFD performed one medical before this dispatch.
