Waste site to close on Oct. 31

The Greencastle yard waste drop-off site, located just past the Putnam County Highway Department on County Road 225 South, will be closing for the season on Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Residents are urged to take advantage of the warm weather to clean up yard trimmings and debris before the site closes for the year.

The site will reopen on April 1.

Residents can call West Central Solid Waste District with specific questions at 653-2150.

Businesses and contractors are prohibited from using the site.
