County Jail

One person was booked in the Putnam County Jail on Friday.

• At 12:28 a.m. Kyal Anthony Campbell, 26, Poland, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to two recent dispatches:

•At 8:31 p.m. on Thursday, GFD was dispatched to 16 S. Jackson St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 8:35 but could not determine the alarm’s cause. The alarm was then reset. GFD left the scene at 8:46 p.m.

•At 6:31 a.m. on Friday, GFD was dispatched to 106 S. Spring St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 6:35 and determined the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm was then reset. GFD left the scene at 6:42 a.m.

Additionally, GFD performed four medical assists and had two disregards during this time.
