PCCS names fourth annual ‘Unstoppable’ winners

Putnam County Comprehensive Services has crowned its 2018 Miss Unstoppable, Maria Pineda of Cloverdale, and Mr. Unstoppable, Darius Hogan of Indianapolis, at the fourth annual pageant Nov. 3 at the Moose Lodge.

Putnam County Comprehensive Services hosted its fourth annual Mr. and Miss Unstoppable Pageant Saturday, Nov. 3 at the Greencastle Moose Lodge.

The newly crowned court consists of Mr. Unstoppable Darius Hogan of Indianapolis and Miss Unstoppable Maria Pineda of Cloverdale.

First runners-up were Stanley Morris and Aubrey Sutherlin, while second runners-up were Jeramiah Batto and Vonda Wood, all of Greencastle.

“PCCS chose the word ‘Unstoppable’ because it is defined as that which cannot be stopped or surpassed,“ pageant organizer Mary Ann Finney explained. “Our contestants believe that nothing can stop them from achieving their goals and dreams.”

Contestants competed in poise and formal wear, talent and question-and-answer segments scored by local judges Lisa Barker, Tom Sutherlin and Mayor Bill Dory.

Admission price for the audience was one canned food item, which was later donated to the food pantry located at Greencastle Christian Church.

Local merchants and individuals donated cash and prizes for all contestants.

Donors included Prime Real Estate Group, Putnam County Board of Realtors Inc., Kroger, Monster Mini Golf, Loyal Order of the Moose, Buffalo Wild Wings, Eitel’s Flowers, Monical’s Pizza, Bert and Betty’s, T & T Nails, First National Bank, Von Braden, Pizza Hut, 3G Bowl, McDonald’s and Mason Jewelers.
