• At 1:36 p.m. on Thursday, Tabitha L. Greenwell, 25, Brazil, was southbound on State Road 243, approaching the Interstate 70 area in a 2014 Dodge Caravan. Calvin Rallings, 60, Dayton, Ohio, was pulling up the westbound off ramp of I-70 in a 2018 Volvo semi tractor pulling double trailers. The tractor and trailers were registered to FedEx Freight, though there was no registration information on file for one of the trailers.

Greenwell told Maj. Dwight Simmons that Rallings did not stop at the stop sign and she could not avoid a collision, striking the passenger side of the FedEx vehicle. This caused extensive damage to Greenwell’s van.

Rallings also told Simmons that he did not stop at the sign. He was cited for failure to yield at a through highway.

Operation Life took Greenwell to the hospital for injuries to her shoulder/upper arm area.

As he was stopped, Stephenson’s trailer was rear-ended by a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Larinda S. McMahon, 25, Bainbridge.

Deputies Randy Patrick and Matt Biggs arrived to find McMahon slumped over the steering wheel. Patrick also noticed the odor of alcohol. As he looked through the vehicle, he found a half-empty bottle of alcohol in the rear pocket area of the front passenger seat.

McMahon was transported to Hendricks Regional Hospital for immediate care of her injuries.

Alcohol was listed as a contributing factor and she was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.

McMahon’s car sustained heavy front-end damage and was towed.

Richardson was transported from the scene to Putnam County Hospital for treatment of facial bleeding. However, upon release from the hospital he was taken to the Putnam County Jail and booked in for felony driving while intoxicated.
