Greencastle City Police are investing an alleged shoplifting incident at the Walmart Supercenter at 5:33 p.m. Sunday.

According to Officer Joseph Smith’s report, a 39-year-old female customer reportedly used a $1 bar code off a different item to illegally scan $145.42 in miscellaneous items at the U-scan station.

Police said Olivia Query of Greencastle scanned such items as lipstick, hamburger, shrimp, catfood, slippers, shampoo and condition using the $1 bar code, amounting to a $153.07 reported loss with tax included.

Charges are pending, GPD officials reported.

Two recent citations were issued by Officer Kyle Lee

• At 7:26 p.m. Sunday, Cole Cooper, 26, Center Point, was cited for an infraction of driving with a suspended license.

Cooper was stopped by Officer Lee at Bloomington and Tennessee streets.

• At 8:18 p.m. Oct. 8, Tyler Buttery, 23, Greencastle, was cited for an infraction of driving with a suspended license.

Buttery was stopped by Officer Lee at South and East streets.
