Santa Claus to visit DAR cabin Saturday

Following multiple local appearances in Putnam County on the first weekend of December, Santa Claus will be back in Greencastle on the morning of Saturday, Dec. 8.

The jolly old elf will arrive at the DAR Log Cabin at Robe-Ann Park at 10 a.m. with candy canes in tow, available to chat with local children until noon.

The holiday festivities will also include decorating the pine tree in front of the cabin, so kids and grown-ups are invited to bring cranberries on a string, peanut butter on pine cones, bread crumbs or whatever natural food for the park animals to eat during the winter.

The cabin will also be open for tours during this time.

The DAR Log Cabin is located just south of the main entrance to Robe-Ann Park on Bloomington Street on Greencastle’s South Side.
