Despite the ongoing threat of a downpour, the town of Cloverdale reveled in the start of this year's Christmas in Cloverdale festivities Saturday afternoon. The holiday celebrations kicked off with the annual Christmas parade that saw Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive in their big red sleigh. Afterward, both made their way to Santa's House where children visited with the "Big Man" himself.

Santa Claus listens to eight-year-old Daniel Thompson as he tells him what he would like for Christmas in Santa's House across from the Cloverdale Township Fire Department.
