Author Frank Gertcher to give Dec. 11 talk at PCPL

Author Frank L. Gertcher will make an appearance at Putnam County Public Library on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 6:30 p.m.

Gertcher will be reading from his book, “The Dark Cabin Murders.” The book is about a Civil War-era murder mystery and includes detective work, romance, and insight into the nature of good and evil.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing by the author.

Born and raised near Clinton, Ind., Gertcher is a retired senior scientist and current storyteller. He is also an Air Force veteran, with nine years enlisted and 14 years commissioned service (1961-84).

In addition to publishing many papers in scientific journals, he co-authored two successful textbooks, as well as a novel and a book of poems.

Gertcher and his wife Linda now live in a retirement community in Florida.

The program is free and open to the public at the library, 103 E. Poplar St., Greencastle.
