Santa to visit Heritage Lake on a fire truck Friday

Monday, December 10, 2018

Local kids (and adults for that matter) are invited to get a glimpse of Santa Claus as he rides through the streets of Heritage Lake on the Floyd Township fire engine.

Santa will be in town on Friday, Dec. 14 before heading back to the North Pole.

Floyd Township Fire Department will transport Santa around the lake where he will pass by as many homes as possible, tossing out candy to all of the children along the route who have been extra good this year.

To help FTFD, anyone planning to see Santa along the way is asked to register at www.eventbrite.com/e/santas-drive-through-heritage-lake-tickets-52616893545.

That way, Santa’s elves will know how much candy to send with him.

“We are very excited to take Santa around Heritage Lake and we hope to continue each year and make this an annual tradition for our community,” Fire Chief Brian Ervin said.

FTFD will also be providing updates and pictures along the route about Santa’s visit using the hashtag #heritagelakesanta on social media.
