Calling itself a fast-casual place for burgers, hotdogs, shakes, floats, beer and wine, Taphouse Burgers is set to open Tuesday, Dec. 11 in the former Taphouse 24 site at 24 S. Indiana St. During a recent friends and family preview night, Chef Sal Fernandez puts the finishing touches on a Royale Tapburger which features an over-easy egg on top.

Now owned and run by the people who have Bridges Craft Pizza and Wine Bar downtown, Taphouse burgers will be open Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. most days and until 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Evan Timmons is the Taphouse chef with Ryan Carrar as sous chef.
