Parents of Addicted Love Ones now meeting at Gobin

Wednesday, December 26, 2018

With the message that “You are not alone,” a new PAL (Parents of Addicted Loved Ones) support group has begun meeting weekly at Gobin United Methodist Church.

The meeting is designed not simply for parents, but also spouses, siblings and others who have loved ones struggling with a substance use disorder to prescription drugs, heroin, methamphetamine, alcohol or other drugs. The group is open to anyone age 18 or older.

PAL meets at Gobin, 307 Simpson St., Greencastle, from 6-7:30 p.m. each Monday.

Additionally, PAL meetings are available across the country. Go to https://palgroup.org/find-a-meeting/ for a listing of groups in other areas.

For more information about the weekly meeting at Gobin, contact Sheila at 719-0359 or Debbie at 653-9330.

The local group is also working on providing childcare. Anyone planning to attend who needs childcare should contact Sheila and let her know as soon as possible.
