North Putnam High School’s Novice Parliamentary Procedure team won the Section III contest on Jan. 24 at the Indiana FFA Leadership Center.

This is the second year in a row the NPHS team has won both district and section contests and advanced on to statewide competition.

The team will compete at a state contest on Feb. 8 at Lebanon High School.

The Parliamentary Procedure Leadership Development event is part of the FFA’s Career Development Competition series. In this event, teams are evaluated on their ability to conduct an efficient and orderly meeting using Robert’s Rules of Order for parliamentary procedure. Participants are judged on their knowledge of parliamentary law and their ability to present logical, realistic and convincing debate and motions.

Dread Pirate Robert's Rules of Order:

I make the rules, I give the orders.

Congrats to the young men and women of North Putnam FFA.
