Janet Lynn Hunter

Janet Lynn Hunter (Walton) passed peacefully in her home surrounded by those she loved on Friday, Feb. 15, 2019.

Janet was a Cloverdale resident most of her life. She graduated Cloverdale High School in 1978.

Janet was a caregiver to many families in the Cloverdale area. She spent the past 10 years working as a housekeeper at Econo Lodge, where she viewed her co-workers as a second family.

Janet was a beautiful, kind woman who cared for others, she will be deeply missed by all who had the honor to know her.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Gary Hunter; her daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Greg Bailey; her brother, David Walton; her nieces and nephews, Chrissy Walton, Kenny Walton and Trevor Feller; and great-nephews Blaze Neal, Kaine White and Truman Phillips.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Walton; mother Helen Walton, brothers Donald Parton and Paul Walton; and sister Kent "Sue" Walton.

A celebration of life will be held at her home at a later date.

In lieu of flowers Janet asked that monetary donations be made in her honor to the Putnam County Humane Society or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
