Making Light Work

Thursday, February 21, 2019
Taking advantage of a day free of precipitation and low temperatures, Raymond McCloud of McCloud Electric Service puts the finishing touches on an antique-style lightpole on the north side of the Putnam County Courthouse Thursday afternoon. Crews have spent this week taking down the old light posts around the courthouse lawn, replacing them with the new lights more in line with the style of lights used elsewhere in downtown Greencastle. County Commissioner David Berry has been leading the charge for the new lights for two years.

  • Now if only Greencastle would take down the Christmas decorations from the other light poles on the square. Or are they just getting an early start on next Christmas?
