Suits and Sneakers

Friday, February 22, 2019
District 44 State Rep. Beau Baird (R-Greencastle) pairs sneakers with his suit to draw attention to National Cancer Prevention Month Tuesday at the Statehouse in Indianapolis. Each year, the Indiana House of Representatives participates in the Suits and Sneakers challenge, an annual event hosted by the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. According to the Indiana Cancer Consortium, cancer is the second-leading cause of death in Indiana, claiming approximately 12,688 lives per year. Baird is in his first year representing House District 44, which includes all of Putnam County and portions of Clay, Morgan, Owen and Parke counties.

  • It’s too bad Putnam county Republican voters didn’t stand up to nepotism in the primary. The smell of entitlement was and is still in the air.

I'd really love to see his voting record start reflecting what's good for his constituents. Any other coverage is just fluff.

  • Wow. In light of the fact we treat others as we want to be treated, I am amazed at the above comments.
