Timbling Around

During a special session with two virtuosos from the Canary Islands, North Putnam fourth-graders listen to musicians Germán Lopez and Antonio Toledo round out an improvisation on the ukulele-like timble and the acoustic guitar at Bainbridge Elementary Friday morning. The duo was invited by music teacher Megan Allen in collaboration with DePauw senior Jacqueline Silva of Music on the Square, closing out their visit to Putnam County for the Communiversity event last Thursday. Allen said the presentation was to promote Music In Our Schools Month, set aside by music educators nationwide to expose students to different musical styles and instruments.
