Tyler DeWayne Winters

Wednesday, March 13, 2019

Hello All:

This is a notice saying that I've passed on.

I had a reasonably good life. Great families, that I loved very much, each and every one, no regrets. I had a lot of good times, and met a lot of good people along the way. Also witnessed as many sunrises and sunsets that I could've. I also had a firm belief in a Universal Force that controls all, and that my energy shall be recycled for good.

My name is Tyler Winters; I was 66 years old and lived in Greencastle. I was born in Los Angeles, Calif., the son of Marvin and Eleanor Maxine (Smith) Winters.

I had worked as an electrician out of IBEW Local 481 until my retirement. I am a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the American Legion, Greencastle.

I am survived by wife, Shirley J. (Clements) Winters; my daughter, Shaylon (husband Patrick) McCarter; stepson John Mercer; and grandchildren Cierra Sanford and Justin Sanford.

My parents preceded me in death.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 16 at Pinelawn Mausoleum in Forest Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in my memory to the COPD Foundation, 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Coral Cables, FL 33134.

Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, has been entrusted with the arrangements and condolences and memories may be shared with my family c/o www.Hopkins-Rector.com.

My parting statement to you is: "Always question, never accept."
