Monday, March 18, 2019

MARSHALL-- The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces State Road 236 will close a little more than two miles east of the State Road 59 east junction on or after Monday, April 1.

The project will replace the bridge over the South Fork of Little Raccoon Creek.

The official detour follows U.S. 231 to U.S. 36 to State Road 59 and back to SR 236. The roadway is scheduled to reopen Oct. 15 of this year.

Halverson Construction Co. Inc. was awarded the work for $1.3 million. The project also includes a small structure replacement on SR 59, five miles south of U.S. 36, that will occur next year.
