Morgan N. Johnson, 20, of Reelsville, died from injuries sustained from an accident on Interstate 70 on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 9:45 a.m.

He was born April 27, 1998 in Indianapolis, the son of Dale "J.B." Johnson and Laurie Sherwood Johnson.

He graduated from South Putnam High School, Class of 2016.

He was active in Drama Club, he could play many musical instruments and he developed his love of cooking.

He was currently enrolled at Ivy Tech and was just a few hours short of completing his culinary arts degree. He has worked at Cracker Barrel in Terre Haute as a cook for the past three years.

In the past, he attended the Drexel Gardens Apostolic Tabernacle in Indianapolis.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Laurie and Robbie Duke of Poland; his father, J.B. Johnson, of Indianapolis; brother Mitchell Johnson of Poland; sisters Brittany Duke Bramlett (Brad) and Gracie Duke; and a niece, Aubrey Duke; grandparents, Annie Lou Johnson of Ship Rock, N.M., Joyce Marlow and George Marlow, and Carl Sherwood and Sharon Sherwood, Barbara Duke; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandfathers Jimmy Johnson and Robert Duke.

Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave., Brazil. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23 at The Anchor Church, 1029 W. CR 600 North, Brazil. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to services. Pastor Doug McKee will be providing the service. Burial will follow at Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery in Putnam County.
