County Jail

Two people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Friday

• At 12:21 p.m. Samuel Andrew Robertson, 39, Spencer, was lodged at the jail on a pair of local warrants.

Thursday

• At 9:13 p.m. Michael E. Agnes, 47, Bainbridge, was housed at the jail for driving while intoxicated.

City Police

One recent arrest was reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 10:59 p.m. Thursday, Christian Jamar Givens, 34, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Alec Pettit after authorities were called to the 400 block of East Franklin Street for a reported domestic dispute.

Taken into custody for resisting law enforcement, Givens was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to three recent dispatches:

• At 3:50 p.m. on Thursday, GFD was dispatched to 330 Greenwood Ave. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 3:55 and determined the alarm was due to fumes from painting that maintenance was doing. The alarm was then reset. GFD left at 4:04 p.m.

• At 5:42 p.m. on Thursday, GFD was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injuries near County Roads 125 North and 25 East. Units arrived at 5:51 to find that a truck was inverted in a ditch and had hit a telephone pole. Parke County REMC was notified and the patient was secured. GFD went back into service at 6:30 p.m.

• At 12:22 a.m. on Friday, GFD was dispatched to 446 Anderson St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 12:27 and determined the alarm was due to smoking. The alarm was then reset. GFD left at 12:40 a.m.

Additionally, GFD performed three medical assists during this time.
