“Once in a while, Greencastle feels a bit more like New York City than a historic, Midwest town.” And on Wednesday, April 10 this again will prove true as local jazz performer Steven Snyder takes the stage at Music on the Square with his Little Big Band.

Mark Rabideau, director of the 21st Century Musician Initiative and manager of the Music on the Square space, is excited to continue this new concert programming. “Live at Music on the Square’s inaugural program – Cabaret at Music on the Square, featuring Steven Linville – was such a hit, we just couldn’t wait to continue this series with something really special – Big Band Jazz,” Rabideau said.

Jazz organist Snyder will lead a group of jazz musicians in an evening of ballads, jazz standards, Latin numbers and original compositions.

The Wednesday evening concert is free and open to the public.

Doors to Music on the Square will open at 7 p.m. with limited seating available. Seating will also be available at Bridges as the spaces will be open and shared for the event. Patrons are encouraged to arrive early to order dinner prior to the entertainment, which will begin at approximately 7:30 p.m. Tables for the event can be reserved by calling Bridges at 653-0021.
