Jerome David 'Jerry' Tesmer

Jerome David "Jerry" Tesmer, 77, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 surrounded by his family.

He was born March 10, 1942 in Norwalk, Ohio, the son of Theodore Fredrick and Ruth Elizabeth (Lutts) Tesmer.

He was a 1960 graduate of Bainbridge High School.

Jerry was a self-employed carpenter, doing custom carpentry and had recently retired from Pershing and Co. CPAs.

He was a member of Connections Community Church and a former member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marcia C. (Woods) Tesmer; children Dave (Carla) Tesmer, Mark (Cathy) Tesmer, Tim (Kim) Tesmer, Matt (Crystal) Tesmer and Joy (Brian) Pershing; brothers Daniel (Charmaine) Tesmer and John Tesmer; sisters Judy (Chuck) Foster and Mary Tesmer; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sons Stephen Keith and Paul Samuel Tesmer; sisters June Weed and Barbara Williams; and a brother, Ted Tesmer.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23 at First Baptist Church, 404 Judson Dr., Greencastle. Interment will follow at Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, April 22 at the church and one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
