A chance for the public to hear about the current status of Greencastle Community Schools, the third Community Conversation of 2019 has been set.

Superintendent Jeff Hubble, along with school board president Mike White and school board member Brian Cox will speak and take questions from the public from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 30 at the Putnam County Public Library.

The meeting is an opportunity for the GCSC leadership to give a brief overview of the current status of the school corporation and to talk about plans for the future.

One of these plans includes the corporation’s decision to create a new administrative position.

“Personally, I’m excited about our newly created curriculum director position and how that hire will work closely with teachers and administrators to deliver the best possible instruction to students,” White said.

There will be plenty of opportunity for audience members to ask questions or voice concerns.

The Community Conversation series is sponsored by the Greencastle League of Women Voters, the Putnam County Public Library and the Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce.

The goal of this continuing program is to give the community an opportunity to hear from and speak to their elected and appointed government officials.
