Run Like the Wind

In a frantic dash to get ahead of other competitors in a challenge, members of the Jolly Juniors 4-H Club (above) run to show event organizers some breakfast items during the Supermarket Sweep Monday evening, with Madison Stahl of Greencastle leading the way.

Meanwhile, DePauw University senior Barbara Castellini (far right), also an intern at the Hartman Center, helps Purdue Extension Educator Jenna Nees organize the many food items which were being collected for local food pantries. A partnership between DePauw, the Purdue Extension Office and Kroger, the competition is meant to raise awareness about food insecurity in Putnam County, and to help stock the pantries’ shelves before schools let out for summer break.
