Silver Lining Players slate May performances

Thursday, April 25, 2019

Silver Lining Players will be reading in several Putnam County nursing homes during May.

The four plays are:

-- “Yesterday,” a sweet romance, performed by Karen Sutherlin and Chris Wurster.

-- “King Arthur’s Socks,” three women are in love with the same man -- Lancelot. The women are played by Linda Ford, Karen Smogor and Carol Moore.

-- “Fourteen,” a farce about who is coming to dinner. Bill Wieland plays the hapless butler; Martha Wharton, the frustrated hostess and Karen Sutherland is cast as the daughter.

-- The final play in development is “His Return.” It is the story of a soldier, Bob Jefferson, returning from war. His wife, Kathy Stephan, is unsure how he will see her after the years he has been gone. Sandra Steinem rounds out the cast as the friend. Karen Sutherlin, as the maid, takes on her third role of the season.

Performances will be held at:

-- Autumn Glen, May 7, 2:30 p.m.

-- Asbury Towers, May 17, 2:30 p.m.

-- Mill Pond memory unit, May 22, 2:30 p.m. “Yesterday” will performed, and actors Ben Dulaski and Bob Jefferson will reprise their roles in “Meat,” the comedy hit of last season.
