Posey Mae Detro

Posey Mae (Mitchell) Detro went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 1, 2019.

She was born in Putnam County, Ind., on July 15, 1923. She would have been 96.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Detro, in 1997; parents William and Della (Todd) Mitchell; three sisters and one brother.

She is survived by her two sons, Darrell (Lucy) Detro and Ron (Lana) Detro; a sister, Stella Redding; four grandchildren, Todd (Nealy), Jill (Jeff), Mandy (Jim) and Adam; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Rose Pursell.

Posey was a homemaker and loved home decorating. She loved worshiping the Lord.

Posey was a classy dresser and was known for her style.

She will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Rev. Patrick Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Clinton Falls Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. on Tuesday until time of services at the funeral home.
