Locust Street closed Wednesday-Saturday

Tuesday, May 7, 2019

Due to the amount of rainfall last week and the potential rain being predicted over the next several days, South Locust Street will be closed Wednesday, May 8 through Saturday, May 11 for construction work on the DePauw University campus.

The closing will provide a means to haul dirt from the site without trucks having to pull into the extremely muddy site. That hopefully will allow the mud to be contained within the site and not on the surrounding city streets.

The detour path will remain as before. Howard and Olive streets will remain open during the work, which is part of the preparation effort for the new first-year residence hall to be constructed at the southwest corner of Olive and Locust streets.
