In the name of raising funds for a worthy cause, local musicians gather Wednesday to play the music of singer-songwriter John Prine while raising money for Beyond Homeless Inc. Having already performed earlier in the evening, sisters Dale and Ella Dye Thomas (above) do a waltz while Rick Smock and Mike Van Rensselaer perform Prine’s classic “Paradise.”

Among the more stirring moments of the evening is a rendition of “Unwed Fathers” from Angela Norris White (right), who related the song to Beyond Homeless and her own struggles with homelessness years ago.

Finally, the night concludes with nearly every musician on stage for some fun in singing Prine’s “Illegal Smile.”
