Second annual Memorial Day 5K set at Forest Hill Cemetery

The second annual Forest Hill Cemetery Memorial Day 5K is set for Monday, May 27 at 8 a.m.

This non-competitive family 5K walk and run is a donation event with no entry fee required to participate.

All proceeds go toward improving the veterans section of the city owned cemetery.

Registration begins at 7 a.m. with walking and running to commence at 8.

Event sponsors include Prime Real Estate, Chiyoda USA Corp., HMSB Insurance, Attorney Michael Goss, Kirsh Family Dentistry, Distinct Web Design, Old National Bank, Wabash Capital Inc., Almost Home, Putnam Inn, Taylor Made Awards and Fraternal Order of Eagles 4388.

All participants are invited to stay after the race and attend the annual Memorial Day services at the cemetery at 10 a.m.

Forest Hill Cemetery is located at 2181 S. CR 50 West.
