Myra Jane Hutcheson

Myra Jane Hutcheson, 87, of Greencastle, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Putnam County Hospital.

Myra was born on December 23, 1931, the daughter of Carl Leonard and Beulah May (Sears) Twigg.

She attended Greencastle High School.

Mrs. Hutcheson worked for many years as a nurse’s aide with Eventide Nursing Home, Hickory Creek Nursing Home and the Putnam County Hospital.

She also co-owned S&H Trash Disposal with her husband Marvin.

She was a member of Putnamville Baptist Church. Myra’s faith and family were the most important things in her life.

Survivors include five sons, Gregory Hutcheson (wife Suzanne), Greencastle, Kerry Hutcheson (wife Wanda), Greencastle, Phillip Hutcheson (wife Becky), Greencastle, Kirk Hutcheson, (wife Mona), Reelsville, and David Hutcheson (wife Lisa), Belle Union; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 42 years, Marvin E. Hutcheson; and a brother, Durwood Twigg.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 31 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, with Pastor Rick Brown officiating.

A private family burial will follow in Manhattan Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 30 and one hour prior to time of service at the funeral home.
