Winners of a recent drawing in the Cloverdale Middle School C.H.O.I.C.E program are (from left) seventh-grader Aleah Harris and fifth-graders Asyria Ford and Kenneth Latham. The CMS staff rewards positive student behaviors and achievements through the school’s C.H.O.I.C.E. (Clovers showing Honesty, Ownership, Integrity, Citizenship and Effort) program. C.H.O.I.C.E. cash, which is a paper coupon, is distributed consistently by teachers, office staff, cafeteria and custodial staff, bus drivers and instructional assistants. Students receive C.H.O.I.C.E. cash when exhibiting positive behavior without prompting from adults. This year the committee set out to involve community stakeholders in order to provide some big prizes this year, which for last raffle of the year included two mountain bikes and four box tickets to an Indianapolis Indians game donated by the team.
