Vicki Sue Girton

Vicki Sue Girton, 63, of Greencastle, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019.

She was born Oct. 29, 1955, the daughter of Gerald “PeeWee” and Peggy (Sutherlin) O’Hair. Vicki was a 1974 graduate of Greencastle High School and completed technical assistant training at Ivy Tech Community College.

Vicki had worked in the juvenile division of the Putnam County Circuit Court as a probation assistant. She had previously worked at Greencastle Middle School as a secretary, and in shipping and receiving at Sherwin Williams Distribution.

She was a member of the Elks Lodge, as well as the Greencastle and Bainbridge Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Jerry Dean Girton; her parents; and in-laws Richard and Peggy Girton.

Vicki is survived by her brothers, Michael (Vicki) O’Hair and David (Michelle) O’Hair; a sister, Cindy (Ed) Lowes; and nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at the Elks Lodge, 202 S. Indiana St., Greencastle, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 1.
