Elks Lodge cigar social on tap next Friday evening

The Elks Lodge 1077 is hosting its first cigar social on Friday, June 14 from 7-9 p.m. The lodge will welcome cigar enthusiasts to enjoy ribeye sandwiches, sides, dessert, one drink, chips, drink specials and to learn about and enjoy a variety of cigars.

The manager of Smoker’s Choice Cigar Bar in Brownsburg will be at the Elks to share information, and will have a large variety of cigars on hand.

“This is a perfect way to treat a father or grandfather for Father’s Day,” said lodge representative Christina Rumley. “We are always looking for new ideas for not just our members, but for the community as well.”

The cost of the cigar social is $20 and proceeds will benefit the scholarship fund. Those interested in attending the event may stop into the lodge to sign up, or call 719-5514 or 910-309-4176 for more details.

And here we have the City of Greencastle's hypocrisy on full display.

They banned smoking in the bars but carved out nice little exceptions for the "private clubs".
