Serve the Servants

Rather than having to go out or pack their own lunch for the day, workers at the Putnam County Courthouse enjoy a free meal Friday, courtesy of Camp Discovery at Greencastle Christian Church. The cooking group from Camp Discovery spent the week learning various cooking skills and how they can be used in service of others. The young cooks weren’t alone, as the free day camp for elementary students also had similar lessons for kids wanting to study art, nature and gardening, woodworking, sewing, photography and music and drama. Friday was a day of service, as the young people took their creations to locations around town including Mill Pond Health Campus, The Waters of Greencastle, Putnam County Comprehensive Services and the south side neighborhood surrounding Greencastle Christian Church.
