Putnam Scanner for August 14, 2019

Several people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Tuesday

• At 12:39 a.m. Tony Phillips, 50, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

Monday

• At 11:40 p.m. Sampson Michael Cook, 29, Camby, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 11:31 p.m. Jeffery Wayne Burger, 57, Bainbridge, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 9:31 p.m. Casey Douglas Bunten, 31, Greencastle, was booked in the jail for domestic battery.

• At 5:05 p.m. Christina Daniel Vincent, 28, Roachdale, was lodged at the jail for domestic battery.

• At 11:32 a.m. Christopher Lee Hopwood, 23, Cloverdale, was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.

• At 9:59 a.m. Norman Eli Campbell, 54, Cloverdale, was housed at the jail for driving a motorboat while intoxicated.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to two recent dispatches:

• At 4:02 p.m. on Monday, GFD was dispatched to Mason Hall on Anderson Street. Firefighters arrived at 4:06 but were advised that the alarm was caused by cleaning chemicals. The alarm was then reset. GFD left at 4:13 p.m.

• At 6:07 p.m. on Monday, GFD was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on South U.S. 231. Units arrived at the scene at 6:15 and cleaned debris from the roadway, as well as assisted Operation Life with loading patients. GFD returned to station at 7:03 p.m.

Additionally, GFD performed one medical assist after these dispatches.
