John Whitkanack Jr.

John Whitkanack Jr., 85, passed away August 20, 2019.

He was born Nov. 26, 1933 to the late John and Amy (Vice) Whitkanack.

John married Patricia LaVonne (Parker) Whitkanack on May 5, 1958 and she survives.

John was a member of the Church of Christ in Cloverdale, a Navy veteran, retired air traffic controller specialist and a farmer.

He is also survived by his son John Whitkanack III and wife Monica; daughters Cindy Burnham and Susan Winsted; grandchildren Heather Wagoner, Brandy Garske, Nikki Whitkanack and Shelby Winsted; great-grandchildren Taylor and Sydney Wagoner, Eli and Logan Garske and Laney and Emma Pieper; and sisters Barbara Kay, Beverly and Virginia.

Funeral services for John will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23 at Whitaker Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cloverdale Cemetery.

Visitation was Thursday at the funeral home.
